About Daniel
Daniel Aaron Schwartz has a Magna Cum Laude degree from Harvard University in Visual and Environmental Studies, he has been painting and working in mixed media for more than 50 years, since he started gluing together flotsam and jetsam found on the beach when he was 6 years-old. This unconscious and layered approach has always been a vital element of everything he creates. Often he will paint a dream he had or be inspired to focus on an emotion or a single word.
Everyday objects like buttons, twigs, jar tops and hairpins are used as textural elements in his work as are found street signs, personal items like watches, baby shoes and doodles. When moved by injustice and cruelty he uses repetitive cut outs of headlines, memes and the faces of those wrongfully imprisoned.
Daniel’s art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that Daniel stands behind the quality and value of his products.
